Ahead of its October 6 release, the upcoming Vivo V80 has seen a reported price leak in India, pointing to a starting cost of approximately Rs. 63,000. The device is scheduled to debut in the country on October 6, bringing improved cameras and hardware.
According to information posted by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the series is anticipated to arrive in three storage configurations. The leaked figures suggest pricing of Rs. 63,000 for the 8GB+128GB version, Rs. 70,000 for the 8GB+256GB model, and Rs. 80,000 for the 8GB+512GB variant. Official confirmation regarding these costs has not been provided by Vivo prior to the release.
Specifications for the Vivo V80 may include a 6.59-inch flat LTPS OLED screen featuring a 1.5K resolution. Additionally, the display is rumored to offer a 144Hz refresh rate alongside a peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
Under the hood, processing duties are expected to be handled by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, supported by 8GB of RAM. The anticipated models may also incorporate UFS 4.1 storage.
Optics are expected to be a primary focus for the Vivo V80. The back panel is rumored to house a 50MP main camera equipped with OIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide shooter.
Furthermore, a 50MP telephoto lens could provide 3x optical zoom along with optical image stabilization. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is expected to sport a 50MP front-facing camera.
A notable selling point for the handset could be its rumored 7200mAh battery. To minimize downtime, Vivo is expected to combine this substantial power source with 90W fast charging capabilities.
Additional hardware highlights may include IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, a metal chassis, and stereo speakers. An infrared sensor and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner are also expected to be included.
Software-wise, the Vivo V80 is anticipated to ship with OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. Vivo has already previewed three color choices for the device: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue, and Stellar Black.
