Ahead of its October 7 event in San Francisco, Microsoft is getting ready to present the Surface Laptop Ultra. Just hours prior to the showcase, a fresh leak has surfaced detailing potential pricing and hardware setups for the high-end computer.
Per tipster Roland Quandt, the Surface Laptop Ultra may feature two Nvidia RTX Spark options. Leaked pricing begins under USD 3,000 (about Rs 2.89 lakh) and can top USD 7,000 (roughly Rs 6.75 lakh) for the most expensive models. These prices remain unconfirmed by Microsoft.
Surface Laptop Ultra Specifications Tipped
Data from a leaked channel-partner entry points toward a 15-inch model of the Surface Laptop Ultra equipped with Nvidia RTX Spark S2 and S3 choices. The S2 variant is slated as the base option, whereas the S3 is aimed at customers needing greater processing and AI capabilities.
Memory choices listed include 24GB, 32GB, 48GB, and 64GB configurations. The leaked details additionally point to 1TB of SSD storage and Windows 11 Pro standard across the lineup, with Platinum and Dark Steel listed as the planned colorways.
Even so, Microsoft has previously disclosed that the architecture scales up to 128GB of unified memory. The premier RTX Spark build is anticipated to pair a 20-core Arm processor alongside a 6,144-core Blackwell graphics card. Microsoft aims to support heavy AI tasks, such as executing massive models directly on the device.
Mini-LED Display and AI Focus
The upcoming Surface Laptop Ultra is slated to sport a 15-inch mini-LED PixelSense Ultra touchscreen panel. This screen is said to supply a 3:2 aspect ratio alongside peak HDR brightness reaching 2,000 nits.
Microsoft is marketing the notebook toward content creators, AI developers, and power users as a high-end workstation. Capable of reaching one petaflop of AI processing power through the RTX Spark platform, the machine places heavy emphasis on on-device AI tasks.
