Lumio has introduced the Aura 5 active bookshelf speakers in India, priced at Rs. 24,999. Designed as a stereo speaker pair, the product is aimed at desktop audio and home entertainment setups. The Lumio Aura 5 goes on sale via Amazon on October 15, coinciding with the Great Indian Festival, and will feature a special introductory price of Rs. 19,999 during the launch window.
Acoustic hardware includes dual 4.5-inch aluminium woofers alongside dual 1-inch silk dome tweeters. Powered by an internal amplifier, the system pushes 100W of RMS power with a peak output of 200W. Lumio states the speakers can achieve a sustained sound pressure level (SPL) of 105dB at a one-metre distance, spanning a frequency response of 35Hz to 20kHz while maintaining total harmonic distortion (THD) under 1%.
To cater to various audio preferences, Lumio has integrated three distinct DGS Audio Tuning modes. The studio setting offers a neutral sound profile suited for vocals and music, the cinema mode enhances spatial effects and dialogue clarity for films, and the groove mode boosts low frequencies for bass-heavy tracks.
Versatile connectivity options allow the Aura 5 to serve functions well beyond standard bookshelf audio. The hardware features HDMI ARC complete with HDMI-CEC, coaxial, optical, AUX, and USB inputs, alongside Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless streaming from supported devices. Furthermore, the USB port accommodates PC audio connections and playback of select music files.
Included in the box is Lumio’s Minion OLED Bluetooth remote, which features an integrated screen. On-board physical dials on the main speaker allow users to adjust bass, treble, and volume directly. Additionally, an upcoming Aura companion app is in development for both iOS and Android platforms.
Raghu Reddy, CEO of Circuit House Technologies, remarked, “With Aura 5, we wanted to bring back what soundbars and Bluetooth speakers gave up in the name of convenience: real fidelity.”
Buyers of the Aura 5 receive a one-year comprehensive warranty, whereas the bundled remote comes with six-month coverage. Lumio additionally supports the product with at-home service through its authorized network.
At the introductory Rs. 19,999 rate, the Lumio Aura 5 enters a fiercely contested home audio market, utilizing its dual independent cabinets to deliver authentic left-and-right stereo separation for movies and music.
