This past season, I was fortunate enough to taste several new and exciting recipes from two amazing bloggers. With this in mind, I decided to share some of the best ones here on my blog to help you get a jump start on your own meal planning.
First up is the popular and beloved Korean fried chicken salad. I’m not a huge fan of fried chicken, but this is one of the best I’ve tried. We all know the recipe and I personally love it but many other people find it a bit bland and blandish. Here, the secret is to layer the chicken with a crunchy, sweet salad sauce before wrapping it in fresh lettuce and making the whole thing extra tasty.
This is another version of chicken salad I like to make. In this case the chicken is the main ingredient. But instead of making the salad sauce, I make my own from 1/2 cup of chicken broth, 1 cup of water, and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. The sauce is thick and delicious, and makes for a great base to add anything else you like to the salad.
This is my sister Lynja’s recipe for the dish, which is her own spin on the typical chicken and lettuce salad. I was surprised at how tasty this dish was. In fact, it was really good, and it was even better because it didn’t require any extra salt and pepper.
The sauce is delicious. In fact, it’s my favorite thing to make at the moment, and I’m quite proud of it. But the secret is the broth really helps the sauce to thicken, so it actually tastes like a puree of the broth, not a puree of the chicken. To the extent that I can, I put a few spoonfuls of the sauce into a blender and puree it into a smooth sauce.
We really liked this dish. I couldve sworn that chicken broth is the same one that made this dish taste so good, but I am not quite so sure. So I think its a good thing that I know what I’m talking about. Lynja has a really easy recipe and I think most of us could pull it off to a T. The sauce is the perfect consistency and the flavor is great. So I think it’s really worth your time to try this one out.
Lynja Son makes an interesting dish because she’s a chef. This sauce is super easy to make and tastes amazing. If you’re wondering what a sauce is, a sauce is a liquid that is thickened with other liquids. The best way to describe this sauce is “chunky.” I used chicken broth as the thickener and added a bunch of frozen peas, as well.
This sauce isn’t as sweet, has a slightly tart edge, and is better served on a cold winter’s day because it’s a bit more acidic than typical sauces.
The sauce is great served with chicken and grilled vegetables or steak. It’s also good on hamburgers, but I recommend it on a burger because it does have a bit of a sour edge. To me the best use of this sauce is on steak because it’s a really good sauce for steak.
I found it to have a bit of a sour edge, too. It was also a bit too sweet for me. You could add more sugar or lemon juice, but it would overpower the sauce. (Although I think it is a great sauce for anyone eating with a sweet tooth.
