Apple is recruiting for a position in the United States that steers entirely clear of Macs, iPhones, and its typical consumer hardware. The tech giant is searching for an iCup Supply Specialist in Santa Clara, California, tasked with keeping the company’s coffee makers operational and ensuring staff have a steady supply of fresh coffee.
Compensation for the role ranges from USD 27.75 to USD 36.05 per hour, roughly equivalent to Rs. 2,670 to Rs. 3,500 hourly. Calculated at the maximum rate for an eight-hour shift, daily earnings reach close to Rs. 28,000.
Apple’s iCup Specialist Job Responsibilities
As outlined in the recruitment posting, the successful candidate will oversee the upkeep of up to 90 bean-to-cup brewing systems. Duties involve cleaning the equipment, keeping them in good working order, and maintaining inventories of coffee beans and related inventory.
The company notes that the role centers on delivering a high-quality workplace coffee experience for employees.
Daily tasks consist of restocking coffee beans and provisions, sanitizing food-contact surfaces inside the units, managing a route, handling service requests, and liaising with facility managers and administrators. This position reports directly to the iCup Service Supervisor.
“At Apple, we take coffee seriously,” the company wrote in the job listing.
Qualifications Apple is Looking for
Applicants are required to hold a high school diploma and understand fundamental food safety protocols. Preference will be given to individuals with a background in route operations, product delivery, customer service, warehousing, or grocery retail.
A valid driver’s license is required since the worker will need to commute across multiple sites. Additional prerequisites include a clean driving record and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
Among the desired traits, Apple specifies being “Extraordinarily Service Oriented.” The organization also looks for strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Benefits Included with Role
Beyond the hourly compensation, the package encompasses health and dental insurance, retirement plans, product and service discounts on Apple items, and support for specific educational costs.
This unconventional opening underscores the diverse array of roles necessary to maintain Apple’s extensive corporate facilities, stretching far beyond the consumer goods and software that define the brand.
