Airtel Business has introduced the Airtel IQ Gateway, a carrier-grade network intelligence platform built to consolidate various enterprise communication channels into a single secure management system. According to the company, it stands as India’s premier platform of its kind, merging network intelligence with business messaging and advanced fraud safeguards.
One Platform for Multiple Communication Channels
The Airtel IQ Gateway unifies SMS, WhatsApp, Rich Communication Services (RCS), enterprise voice, and number verification within one cohesive environment. Additionally, the architecture is built to align with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) regulations.
This launch resolves a frequent hurdle for corporations that rely on multiple communication vendors. Enterprises typically manage disjointed messaging systems that lack clear visibility into message delivery status. Airtel noted that these blind spots frequently result in failed deliveries, vulnerability to spam, and inflated communication expenses.
Through a centralized dashboard, businesses gain access to live analytics and comprehensive delivery reports. The solution also accommodates seamless integration with current communication pipelines and third-party vendor networks.
Focus on Fraud and OTP Pumping
A primary component of the IQ Gateway is its network-driven strategy for stopping fraud. The system incorporates Airtel IQ Verify, utilizing insights from the network, device, and user behavior to spot fraudulent sign-ups, potential account compromises, and anomalous traffic spikes.
Airtel is additionally addressing monetary damages caused by SMS pumping—a practice where bots generate excessive one-time password requests to drive up messaging costs. The firm states that the IQ Gateway enables organizations to identify and curb this artificial traffic effectively.
The offering further features Silent Authentication, checking if a phone number corresponds to the active SIM card inside a user’s device. Furthermore, the IQ Gateway merges built-in DLT integration, automated vendor failover, and smart routing across SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, and voice. This capability can substitute traditional OTP verification for compatible login procedures and SIM-binding operations.
