Smart TV operating system developer Titan OS has secured USD 46 million in new capital to fuel its international growth and forge additional television manufacturing partnerships. Headquartered in Barcelona, the firm has now accumulated USD 110 million in total financing, building on a USD 58 million round secured last year.
This latest financial injection blends equity from returning investors Mangrove Capital Partners and Highland Europe with a credit facility backed by funds and accounts overseen by BlackRock. Titan OS intends to allocate the funds toward entering new geographic markets, enhancing its software offerings, and growing its advertising operations.
Titan OS Reaches 30 Million Users
User numbers for the smart TV platform have climbed to approximately 30 million, up from 18 million a year prior. This growth has been driven by collaborations with various television makers, such as Skyworth, Vestel, AOC, and Sharp. Furthermore, Philips has chosen Titan OS for its upcoming 2026 TV lineup, superseding Google TV on those specific units.
The operating system offers hardware manufacturers an alternative revenue stream beyond initial device sales. Titan OS generates income via advertising and collaborations with free ad-supported streaming television platforms, frequently referred to as FAST channels. Additionally, the company collaborates with content and advertising entities, featuring Tubi in the UK and TiVo in specific regions.

AI to Improve Content Discovery and Advertising
To streamline how viewers find shows and movies, Titan OS is investing in content discovery enhancements. The business is currently investigating user interface upgrades alongside artificial intelligence tools designed to minimize the time spent searching for entertainment.
AI will also play a role in refining ad targeting and audience segmentation. These upgrades aim to assist advertisers in effectively reaching desired audiences throughout connected television networks.

International Expansion Remains a Priority
With a growing team of roughly 250 staff members, Titan OS has established a dedicated advertising office in London, complementing its existing bases in Taipei, Amsterdam, and Barcelona. The enterprise continues to pursue a broader global footprint as TV producers increasingly seek out alternative income streams outside of hardware transactions.
