At EVO France 2026, Bandai Namco revealed two upcoming fighters for Tekken 8: Roger Jr. and Baki’s Yujiro Hanma. Attendees at the event received an initial glimpse of the characters’ appearances and movesets, though the two combatants will release on separate schedules.
Season 3 Pass owners can play as Roger Jr. starting November 12, 2026, with a general release for standalone buyers following on November 17. Yujiro is scheduled to arrive at the beginning of 2027, and his dedicated gameplay trailer will premiere on January 17, 2027, at the Tekken World Tour Finals in Singapore.
Footage of Roger Jr. highlights his swift strikes, powerful throws, and a humorous Rage Art that launches his opponent toward the moon. The kangaroo character, famous for being carried in his mother’s pouch, marks his first playable appearance since Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Meanwhile, the preview of Yujiro highlights his massive physique and a stance directly inspired by the Baki manga.

Roger Jr. Brings Back a Familiar Fighter
The addition of Roger Jr. offers a nostalgic draw for veteran players. Known for his unconventional fighting style and humorous animations, his comeback introduces fresh variety to the current roster.
Conversely, Yujiro brings a distinct crossover element. As one of the most powerful characters in Baki with a dedicated following among anime and manga fans, his inclusion may attract an audience of Baki enthusiasts who are new to Tekken.
With Roger Jr. releasing in November and Yujiro Hanma following in early 2027, Season 3 offers players a mix of a returning classic and a major crossover addition.
