Artificial intelligence, smart glasses, and virtual reality took center stage at Meta Connect 2026. Alongside updates to current Ray-Ban Meta offerings, the company revealed a line of brand-new wearables. Meta also presented fresh gaming, entertainment, and AI capabilities aimed at broadening user interaction across its expanding network of connected devices.
Meta’s New VR Glasses
Priced at $1,300, Meta’s newly introduced VR Glasses are scheduled to hit the market next spring. Built with magnesium alloy frames, the eyewear weighs approximately 100 grams. Specifications include a 5K display, pancake lenses, and full-color passthrough, alongside IMAX Enhanced certification, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos spatial audio.
Ray-Ban Meta Gets New Audio Model
Meta has introduced Ray-Ban Meta Audio, a camera-free smart glasses variant centered entirely around audio capabilities. These include music, voice calls, podcasts, and Meta AI integration. According to Meta, the eyewear provides up to 12 hours of battery life, with an included charging case supplying an extra 48 hours.
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Announced
Sporting a slimmer profile and a dedicated Meta AI button, the third-generation Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses offer an extended battery life of up to nine hours. They are equipped with a 12MP camera capable of 3K video recording and a six-microphone array engineered to minimize background noise.
Ray-Ban Meta Display Expands
The Ray-Ban Meta Display is rolling out more widely, with online ordering now open to US buyers for $799. Newly introduced capabilities consist of public-transit and cycling directions, walking navigation based on landmarks, photo editing, video-call holograms, Dolby Atmos video recording, and mirrored smartphone notifications.
More Games And Entertainment
Several entertainment and gaming additions were also detailed by Meta. Beat Saber is incorporating hand tracking alongside a brand-new Flux mode featuring an initial 35 songs. Meanwhile, the Meta Horizon Store is welcoming the return of Supernatural, accompanied by incoming titles like Payday: Aces High, Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies, and Tetris Effect.
Meta Expands Its AI Vision
Additionally, Meta offered a preview of Muse Charm, a portable gadget powered by its Muse Agent. The compact hardware features a fingerprint sensor, a display, microphones, and speakers. Meta noted that further details will be shared later in the year as the company’s broader VR platform keeps introducing immersive sports, streaming, movies, and 3D entertainment.
