Forget tsp meaning cooking: 10 Reasons Why You No Longer Need It

This little phrase is a great way to describe how many people refer to their stove top thermometer as a tsp. Because it is a cooking thermometer, it really is a good way to describe how much we actually use in our cooking.

I have a stove top thermometer, but I only use it when I’m cooking. If I was writing a cookbook, I would definitely use it when describing food.

I agree. When I say I use a stove top thermometer, I mean I use it to tell me how much oil I have in my pan. If I used a cooking thermometer, I would have to tell me how much oil I have in my pan as well, which would be much more confusing.
