I’m an old-school girl at heart. We don’t have a “snow day”, we don’t go out to watch the snow fall. What we do have is a snow day every holiday season. This isn’t about going to the mall with your snow day. This is about a dinner of comfort food. It’s about a meal that’s hearty, filling, and delicious.

When it comes to comfort food, Im a huge fan of the deep-fryer. I love them because of the ease of preparing a meal without fussing around. I like cooking so much that sometimes I dont even need a recipe. Im all about the recipes.

There was a time when I wouldnt get a recipe from a recipe book unless I had to, but that was before I started cooking full-time. I have a large collection of recipes, so I can find my way to the right one for nearly any dish. That isn’t to say I don’t have a few bad ones, but I dont spend a lot of time trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong.
