Nintendo has been releasing some pretty neat games over the past few years, but it was always a difficult decision for the company to make. When the company introduced the Wii system, they decided to offer three different gaming systems for the console, one that was a bit more affordable and a lot less complicated, and a third one that was a bit more “arcade” like. The games that came with the Wii system included Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Donkey Kong Country.
This week, Nintendo finally got to release a game that I’ve been waiting for: Rare’s Mario Kart 8. It’s a game that was promised for the Wii, but never released, and now it’s finally here. The game comes with three modes: Arcade, Pro, and Pro 2. Arcade is sort of a mix of the first two modes, with the Pro mode being even more simplistic.
The game’s a lot of fun, and I have to admit I was a bit surprised to see a Mario Kart game on the Wii. I think Nintendo knew that with the Wii’s low price point they’d be able to make money on the Nintendo Family Game system, and this game could be one of the better examples of that. The game has a lot of racing modes, and though it’s a simple game, I found myself quickly learning how to play the game.
The game is fun, but it’s so simple that I was a bit surprised, but that’s what I was told. I’m a player, so I can appreciate the idea of having so many modes, and I can tell you that I still found playing time to be a bit on the short side.
I know its a bit of a stretch, but I would imagine that if you were to include a console, that the first thing you would want to do is look for games that could make you money. The console is a great way to include games on the market that you will enjoy, and there is a lot of money to be made by putting the games on the market you love.
Well, the Wii is not my thing so my gaming experience has been restricted to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the DS. So if I am being overly picky, then the games I’m talking about are the ones that come out and you can’t get the Wii at the time the console becomes available.
The most recent and best games that are on the Wii are probably the ones that were released late last year and early this year. But while there are a lot of great games out there, it’s also possible to find a great game on the Wii that may not have been released in the United States. For example, many of the older games that are available on the Wii are very hard to find in other countries.
I’m not sure if its the price or the quality itself, but I’ve found that the Wii can sometimes be a real pain to find games on. I found myself doing some searching on eBay, Amazon, and other places to find games that I’m currently playing. This often led to me picking up games that I had forgotten I had bought but that I had to get for my Wii. It’s not like I’m trying to cheat my way through the games on the Wii.
Its like the Wii has this whole “what you dont have” thing and Im not sure how you work that into its games selection. If I had a Wii and owned a game that I didnt already have and wanted to play, I would probably take the time to look for it on eBay and Amazon before I picked it up on my Wii. The Wii has a lot of games out there that are exclusive to the Wii, so that has to be a factor in how often you find them.
I think the Wii is a great gaming system and is definitely a great time-saver for casual gamers, but it still has a lot to offer for hardcore gamers. A few of its games have really hit the mark with me. I’m really enjoying the way the Wii lets me play classic console games such as Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Kart, and Kirby’s Epic Yarn.
