JPMorgan is bringing its institutional US dollar-denominated deposit token, JPM Coin (JPMD), to the Ethereum blockchain, broadening its ongoing effort to integrate traditional financial services with public blockchain networks.
This integration enables JPM Coin to facilitate peer-to-peer transactions throughout the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystem, which encompasses both Ethereum and Base. According to the bank, the robust on-chain liquidity and active market for tokenized assets on Ethereum established it as the logical subsequent network for the token.
JPM Coin Expands Beyond Base
Originally introduced on Base in November 2025, JPM Coin mirrors existing bank deposits held at JPMorgan, empowering institutional clients to execute more efficient and rapid payments straight onto blockchain networks.
This rollout forms a core component of JPMorgan’s wider strategy to transition financial transactions and assets onto blockchain architecture.
Emma Landriault, who serves as global head of Kinexys Labs at Kinexys by J.P. Morgan, noted that tokenized financial infrastructure is actively transforming digital asset workflows, liquidity, and settlement.
By launching on Ethereum, institutional users gain the ability to move funds between compatible blockchain wallets, thereby broadening the token’s utility past its debut network.

Kinexys Platform Records USD 4 Trillion in Transactions
JPMorgan reported that its Kinexys platform has handled a cumulative transaction volume exceeding USD 4 trillion, accompanied by a daily average of USD 7 billion.
This newest deployment follows earlier initiatives by the bank to migrate conventional financial products to blockchain rails, including the launch of a tokenized money market fund on Ethereum in December 2025 and a subsequent second fund in May 2026.
These steps highlight the financial institution’s increasing emphasis on tokenized products, blockchain-driven payments, and settlement solutions tailored for institutional clients.
Institutional Finance Moves On-Chain
Matthew Dawson, co-founder of Ethereum Institutional, remarked that the expansion draws upon JPM Coin’s prior availability on Base, the deployment of JPMorgan Asset Management’s tokenized money market funds on Ethereum, and Kinexys’ utilization of EVM technology.
He characterized the milestone as an indicator that institutional finance is steadily transitioning to transparent, public infrastructure.
As financial institutions investigate blockchain-based alternatives to optimize payment speeds and handle tokenized asset transactions, JPMorgan’s integration of JPM Coin onto Ethereum expands network options for institutional users while scaling its digital tokenization and payments enterprise.
