Well, as I’ve mentioned in previous posts, I’m a huge fan of water-based solutions for my house. If I’m staying in a hotel, I’m usually using a shower gel, shampoo, or body wash. If I’m staying at home, I’m showering in a spray bottle, which is basically water from a spritz bottle.
So when I was planning my house for summer, I got out some stuff that I thought would be useful for my shower. Unfortunately, this is a big problem for me, because I don’t have a shower, so I need to shower all over again. I also realized that since I’m using water from an expensive spritz bottle, I need to make sure I’m using this bottle in the right way.
Ive used this shower gel for years, and have really found it surprisingly effective at making my skin feel smooth, and not greasy. But it has a very strong scent, so I used some body spray instead, which has a faint fragrance, but just feels good on my skin. And I think using body spray with a spritz bottle is a good idea.
I personally think the best way to use spritz is to use a full-on body spray, and spray it in a downward direction. This will give you a nice, thick layer of skin-friendly goodness that will last all day.
But there is another way, which is to spray it in an upward direction. With this method your spray is more open-ended, you can spray in any direction you want, and you can get a nice, thin layer of smoothness while still keeping your skin feeling smooth. This method works really well for dry, sensitive skin, but for everyone else it’s okay.
I can’t speak for all spritz users, but I’ve seen many a man spray in the wrong direction and it just makes his skin look gross and greasy and gross. Also, it’s not the right thing to do if you’re trying to get a smooth, shiny spray. If, like myself, you like a bit of roughness in your skin, spray up. If you like a nice, smooth spray, spray down. If you’re not sure, spray up.
So I was thinking, it’s about time I started using a spray that lasts a little bit longer (I have a small pore-filled area on my back that needs a bit of extra time for it to settle into) and still sprays nice and smooth. I have another post on this, but in the meantime, take a look at how spritz (the spray itself) works.
The spray itself is a liquid called isopropylmyristate. It can be added to water in order to create a spray that dries faster, but the problem is that this liquid has a very low surface tension, and it is very hard to coat your face properly with a thin layer of it. In fact, I’m not sure if I am able to spray at all with this liquid. I have tried, but my face is still not completely covered with it.
The next time you shower you should take care to cover your face with a thin layer of isopropylmyristate. The reason is because it is very hard to spray a thin layer of it on your face properly. It can be added to a sponge to use on your face, but like any other liquid, isopropylmyristate can stain your sponge, making it look like you’ve been using it on your face for a long time.
I know this seems like a weird question, but how much of your skin is actually sprayed by your shower? If you think about it, spray is essentially a kind of vapor, and the vapor can travel through your skin quickly. If you can spray a little bit of isopropylmyristate on your face, it can act like a vapor, allowing your skin to absorb the rest of the spray.
