Artificial intelligence startup Hark is advancing toward its objective of delivering a personal AI system capable of executing tasks instead of merely answering queries. The firm has launched Hark Pro, a proactive assistant engineered to retain user details, integrate with digital tools, and execute actions independently.
This rollout arrives as Hark gears up for an expansive hardware initiative slated for 2027, serving as an initial preview of the software intended to drive its upcoming hardware. Hark characterizes its overarching product ecosystem as “personal intelligence,” centered on persistent memory, multimodal functionality, and direct computer operation.
Hark Moves Beyond the Traditional Chatbot
In contrast to standard AI chatbots that remain passive until prompted, Hark functions across a user’s broader digital environment. The software is built to retain context and personal preferences while interfacing with platforms like email, calendars, and external applications.
The enterprise has previously showcased this capability via Hark Handoff, a computer-use agent capable of browsing websites and executing assignments such as purchasing items, securing travel, and arranging reservations. Handoff is equipped to navigate sites lacking public APIs by leveraging a virtual computer and browser environment to complete operations.
Proactive AI Is Central to Hark’s Strategy
Hark’s newest offering centers on the premise that an assistant ought to forecast helpful measures rather than relying exclusively on explicit user directives. Product designs feature a customized home screen that consolidates recurring duties, linked platforms, daily summaries, and additional data requiring user oversight.
Furthermore, persistent memory forms a core pillar of the enterprise’s approach. Hark notes that its frameworks are built to recall user identity and previous statements, enabling the assistant to foster increasingly personalized interactions continuously.
USD 700 Million Funding Supports the Bigger Ambition
Substantial capital supports Hark’s initiative. The organization secured over USD 700 million in a Series A financing round at a USD 6 billion valuation during May, drawing backing from NVIDIA, AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures.
This financial backing fuels both software progression and hardware engineering. Hark has stated that its upcoming devices will be custom-built for its AI software rather than modifying pre-existing hardware formats to accommodate the technology.

Hardware Push Expected to Follow
Consequently, the software deployment marks a critical milestone toward Hark’s extended hardware vision. The business is creating dedicated AI hardware concurrently with proprietary models, seeking to establish a streamlined interface linking users with digital platforms.
Additionally, Hark is collaborating with NVIDIA to build massive computing infrastructure designed to train and execute its AI models. This alliance incorporates gigawatt-scale computational power powered by NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin architecture.
Ultimately, the primary challenge for Hark will involve earning user trust regarding personal account access and sufficient autonomy to finalize duties unassisted by continuous oversight. The success of its future hardware hinges directly on the everyday reliability of that software.
