We’ve all been there. You wake up, you brush your teeth, you turn on the TV, you go to sleep. You’ve done all of that and your brain is stuck on one thing – your latest email. You could be in a battle with your wife, your boss, or the person you’re dating. Who is going to win? You could feel like your brain is stuck in this battle for eternity.
In Deathloop, your brain is stuck in this battle for eternity. As you start your day, your brain seems to be a pillar, a sort of frame by which you can see your body and other party-goers through. When you want to look at your body, you can look down at your brain. With this frame, you can see everything you see through and you can look down at your brain. This frame is like a virtual reality tank.
This is an interesting idea, and it’s a bit of a different way to look at things. In our day-to-day life, we often use our minds as a sort of computer. In our day-to-day life, we often use our minds as a sort of computer.
We all know that. But in our day-to-day lives, we often use our minds as a sort of computer.
We’re all aware that our minds aren’t exactly computers. Our brains have a lot of connections between them, even if they don’t interact. For example, our brain is connected to our neck, our eyes, our mouth, and our hands. But the connections aren’t rigid. They’re fluid. And with those connections, we can connect to other people’s minds.
The connection between our brains and our minds is one of the most important things that allows us to carry on our life as we know it. We know that, because it feels like we are. We know that because we see all of that connection in our everyday lives. But with the advancements in technology we have now, we can see it in the past, and in the future. In our day-to-day lives, we have our daily thoughts.
That connection is something that our minds have to constantly re-connect to. And in this episode of #pillarsoftime, we’re going to see how that connection works with an example that is both terrifying and beautiful.
You might not realize it, but in the end, everything we think or do is an illusion. We are all on a loop. Every moment we have is like a scene in a movie. Every word we speak is a shot in the movie. The sound of my voice, the sound of your voice, the sound of the wind, the sound of the ocean. All of it is an illusion. A very, very small illusion.
If we’re not aware of our illusionary lives, then we have no control over our illusionary realities. As the saying goes, “there’s no such thing as a free lunch.” The only thing we are truly in control of is just how much we spend our time on this island, how little we have control over our lives outside of this time loop.
A lot of people, especially people of a certain age, have a hard time with this analogy. It’s not that they don’t have a hard time with it, it’s just that they are used to thinking about reality as a straight line. A person’s life outside of these few seconds of their life is not going to be the same way, it’s going to be vastly different. Life is never going to be the same way again.
